KL Energy’s mission is to develop and implement the most efficient bio-energy conversion technology for the purpose of reducing dependency on fossil fuels. We are a publicly held, growth oriented ethanol project designer and plant owner. Our plants are designed and simulated with 3-D computer modeling process software with a focus on energy efficient, low cost production. Project Development: Our primary objective for each project is to develop, execute, and maintain capital projects on schedule, within budget, and with operational excellence.  Through early collaboration with our clients', our staff integrates the technical, financial and development aspects of a project.

Project Management: Our project managers bring the skills and management capabilities that maximize project value and time-efficiency. Our project management staff relies on our integrated Matrix management concept while meeting our client requirements.

Engineering: The engineers at KL encompass a wide variety of related disciplines. Our engineers provide pre-design, detailed engineering, and permitting.  Our engineers use state-of-the-art, computer-aided design methods, to ensure maximum efficiency as well as superior, comprehensive engineering services.

Construction:  KL has the experience to orchestrate multiple projects and dozens of sub-contractors with our in-house knowledge of the construction process from pre-engineering through construction and startup.

Procurement: KL ensures the right materials, at the right time, at the lowest cost. We have the experience, the networks with suppliers and vendors, and the know how to make it work. By providing integrated, reliable, and cost-efficient procurement, we help ensure the success of projects large and small.

Commissioning & Start-up: KL integrates Commissioning & Start-up early in construction.   KL staff is uniquely poised to perform trouble-shooting, piping check out, calibration and problem-solving activities.

Our portfolio includes both Greenfield and Brownfield ethanol projects. Our integrated Engineering and Construction abilities plus ongoing operation management approach provides a complete turnkey approach. Our emphasis on original design and construction is given to future expansions that offer a “run and improve” as opposed to “run and maintain.”
